Dr. Casey Reason Director for the Center for the Advanced Studies of Leadership for Professional Learning Communities

unnamedIn 2015 I became the inaugural Director for University of Toledo’s Center for Advanced Studies in Leadership for Professional Learning Communities.  The Judith Herb College of Education has established as a priority the pursuit of deeper, scholarly knowledge in improving the effectiveness of schools.  The concept of Professional Learning Communities has been used for over two decades in schools throughout the world.  The goal of this center is to pursue advancements in both scholarly and practical applications associated with leading PLCs in schools today. I’m excited to be supported by the University of Toledo administration, faculty, graduate students, and alumni in developing a world-class research and implementation center that will help advance what we know about professional learning communities and school reform.

I have the pleasure today of studying the leadership of professional learning communities all over the world. Want to know more?  Are you considering a graduate degree? Are you interested in joining me?
